Connect to Self: A few things can cause disruptions or conflict in our society. For example, racism, one group or ethnicity may get offended or mad at a commercial they saw on TV. Thus, writing hate comments or letters about it, and gaining attention from the media and people all over the country. Or even rebellion against the government, can cause nationwide problems, just because the people who are rebelling don't like what the government is doing. Also, everyone deciding to quit their jobs can risk the progress of the economy. All of these things have a big impact on our country.

Connect to Self: I would've taken the side of the north because, I would want to end slavery. Slavery is cruel, and wrong, and also inhumane. It should be abolished, and slaves should be set free. Although I believe that government power should be equal amongst states.
