John C. Calhoun- John C. Calhoun was of South Carolina. Created a compromise that the South would disagree with. His words foreshadowed what was to be of the Civil War. Disliked Henry Clay very much.
Henry Clay- Henry Clay was of Kentucky. When congress was divided in 1820 over slavery in the Louisiana territory, Henry Clay put forth the Missouri Compromise. Once South Carolina nullified the tariff in 1832, Clay created the Compromise Tariff of 1833.
Daniel Webster- Daniel Webster was of Massachusetts. He pleade with the Norhterners to accept what the South wanted. Persuaded people to agree with Clay.
